B) Application
DY-9 is mainly applied in maintenance coatings, plastic coatings, hot stamping coatings, outer jet ink, carbon ribbon, adhesive for magnetic card, adhesive for card board etc., When it is used with carboxyl modified vinyl resins, the heat sealing temperature can be effectively reduced, and the heat sealing strength can be obviously raised.
For DY-9 bipolymer resin, keton solvents and ester solvents are specially suited, such as ace-tone, MEK, nadone, isophorone, methyl acetate, ethyl acetate and butyl acetate etc. Although the solubility in ester solvents is lower than the one in keton solvents, we don’t need to heat the solution or add ketone solvents into the solution while DY-9 resin is dissolved in ester solvents. Chlorohydrocarbons, Nitro compound and alicyclic solvents, such as dichloroethane and diethylene oxide, also can dissolve DY-9 type of bipolymer, but these solvents are toxic, they are only used in special situation.
DY-9 bipolymer is miscible with other resins during the course of usage, such as other types of vinyl chloride vinyl acetate copolymer, PVC resin, perchloro-ethylene resin, ketone resins, chloroprene rubber, NBR, polyacrylate, epoxy resin, polyester and petroleum resin etc.
D) Packaging and Storage
Usually packaged according to 25Kgs per bag, the craft paper-plastic composite bag lined with plastic film.
Stored in cool and dry place away from sunlight.
Should DY-9 resin have been kept over the shelf time, it shouldn’t mean the resin is invalid, but the user has to test the relevant properties before using.
