Vinyl Chloride and Vinyl Isobutyl Ether Copolymer (DMP15)
DMP15 resin is made from vinyl chloride and vinyl isobutyl ether through copolymerization, the resin possesses good adhesive property because of the vinyl isobutyl ether component.DMP15 has good compatibility with vinyl chloride copolymers, unsaturated polyester resins, nadone resins etc. There are no ester bonds in the molecular structure, so DMP15 is stable in acidic or alkaline condition, meanwhile, there are no double bonds in its structure, it can’t be easily oxidized either, even it is put in bad conditions outdoors, it can still keep its corrosion resistance for a very long period. DMP15 in coatings can cause the film of coating to be very flexible
DMP series of vinyl chloride-ether resins are easily soluble in the following solvents, such as aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorohydrocarbons, esters, ketones, glycol ether acetate and some alcohol ether solvents. DMP resins have especially excellent solubility in aromatic hydrocarbons, they can dissolve in 20% toluene (xylene) solvent at normal temperature.
Ⅴ)Compatibility & Miscibility
DMP resins are miscible or partly miscible with the following copolymers, such as vinyl chloride copolymers, polyacrylates, unsaturated polyester resins, aldehyde resins, petroleum resins, natural resins, alkyd resins modified through oil and aliphatic acid, dry oil, tar oil and asphalt etc.
DMP15 resin is suited for thick-paste coatings and inorganic substrate coatings. Because of excellent acid and alkali resistance, DMP15 is extremely suited for alkaline substrates, such as asbestos, concrete, brick and stone etc. So, it can be applied in swimming pool coatings, construction coatings, bridge coatings and road sign coatings etc.
With the rising codes of different DMP resins, their solid contents are accordingly decreasing.
Ⅶ)Packaging & Storage
1. Packed in multi-ply paper bag lined with plastic film, 20Kgs/bag.
2. The package should avoid being crushed, and keep it away from the heat or wet environment.
